The bijou Theatre in Hermsa Beach, California shows vintage movies. Customers arrive at the theatre line at the rate of 100 per hour. The ticket seller averages 30 seconds per customer, which includes placing validation stamps on customer’s parking lot receipts and punching their frequent watcher card. Because of these added services, many customers don’t get it until after the feature is added. A) What is the average customer waiting time in the system? b) What would be the affect on the system waiting time of having second ticket taker doing nothing but validations and punching, thereby cutting the average time to 20 seconds. c) Would the system waiting time b less than you found in b if a second window was opened which each server doing all three tasks?
