Hajah Hasnah has popped into the One to order two MacBru Family Meals, (the Nasi Kotok Special with Fries and the Soto Daging Special with Chicken MacNuggets). As the Shop Assistant in handing Hajah her Soto Daging Special, however, the packaging explodes causing hot suit to spill on her hand. She has suffered fifth degree burns from this and damaged beyond repair her brand new Cartier Watch. After calling an Ambulance to assist her, Hajah Hasnah is further injured when Haziq, who is driving his motor-cycle on the public footpath in the One, loses control of his motorcycle, which collides with the stretcher that Hajah Hasnah is being carried to an ambulance upon. It has been discovered that Haziq does not possess a valid driving licence. Using Statutes, Case Law and Legal Theory, advise Hajah Hasnah of her rights to claim for these issues under the Law of Negligence.

Students should explain what Negligence is, the requirements for an action in Negligence. Case Law on Product Liability and the Common Law liability of drivers in Negligence should be argued as well as Vicarious liability.

Using Statutes, Case Law and Legal theory, advise Hajah Hasnah upon their potential rights of action under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Students should explain what the purpose of the CRA 2015, and consider the principal causes of action that may arise in respect of the complaints made Hajah Hasnah. I would expect the students to engage here with Sections 10, 11, 9-18 and 65 of the Act.
