In this section of the course, we will learn about the labor movement of the 1930s and 405. This is a time when many workers in the United States joined labor unions. Most of the labor organizers of the time (including those that you have read about), were drawn to Marxism, Socialism, and Communism. By now you have already read Richard Wolff's chapters from Understanding Marxism.

After reading Richard Wolff's piece introducing Marxism, and watching the lectures on Marxism, please answer the following set of questions. Altogether, your answer should be at least six full sentences. You do not need to remy to other students for this discussion. Please be sure to quote or reference Wolff.

What is Marxism? What is Marxism critique of the relationship between workers and bosses? Who are the capitalist? Why do you think that labor union organizers and working-class people were drawn to Marxism and Socialism during the 19305 and 405?
