Q2) What is a polyglutamine disease? Using an example describe the anomaly that leads to the disorder, the mode of transmission and the molecular events that lead to neurodegeneration. You should also consider what region(s) of the brain is/are affected and how this leads to the disease symptoms.

Q3) Briefly discuss the central role of proteins in neurodegenerative disease. In your answer you should consider what it is about proteins that link these diseases when they have different clinical presentations; specific examples of how familial forms of the diseases have provided clues as to the underlying mechanisms and what the role of these proteins might be in the disease process.
