Identify an area of needed quality improvement (QI) in your hospital or organization. This does not have to be a huge improvement project but can be something small that you and/or your organization feel is an area of need. Speak to your supervisors and find gaps in practice where improvement is needed.

Address the following:

Explain what a performance gap assessment is and why this is needed before making necessary changes.
What data and evidence did you find that state a need in this quality improvement area?
How will you begin to implement this change?
What kind of staff education will take place?
Who are the key stakeholders?
How will you get staff "buy-in" for the success of this quality improvement project?

This project does not have to be implemented, but please choose something you feel is valid and would positively affect your organization. It may be so great that your organization decides to implement it!
