Sarah has just joined the company after receiving her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a major university in Alabama. Sarah was a good, but not an exceptional student. Because she is new to the organization, she is being assigned to work with some senior technicians so he can "learn the business." She has been told that she will get involved in the engineering aspects of the job once she understands the operation. Most of Sarah's time is spent accompanying the technicians, observing their actions, and helping them carry out their responsibilities. She also spends a great deal of time copying documents and drawings. Sarah has a salary of $65,000 per year. Should Sarah be classified as exempt or non-exempt? Why or why not?
