1. Identify: What is the health issue/population you will be using for this assignment?

2. Recommendations:

a. What are the key dietary/nutrition recommendations or special diet(s) for this issue/population? You should be clear and thorough. Examples and details are important to include, especially if there is a special diet that is recommended.

b. What are the health benefits of meeting the dietary/nutrition recommendations, and what are the possible health consequences if the needs are not met? You should clearly explain, in order to demonstrate you understand WHY these particular recommendations are made for this health issue/population. Additional thoughts for part 1: Add explanation and examples to clearly demonstrate youknow which specific foods and food categories that one might need to add, minimize,manage, and/or eliminate from the diet to meet the nutrition recommendations.

3. Strategies:

a. List 3-5 specific concerns and/or obstacles a person might have with following therecommendations in Part 1. Try to think about the reasons individuals don't followdiet recommendations which may be beneficial or necessary for health.

b. Identify the one concern or obstacle from your list that you think may be mostnecessary to address, then recommend 2-3 possible strategies for addressing it. Bespecific and clear about the strategies. It's not enough to say "eat healthy" -demonstrate you know what that is for the health issue/special population you chose.

4. Cite and Save: Type the assignment in an organized format and include any necessarycitations/references if you used sources besides the text. Save as a .doc or .pdf (or similar wordprocessing document) and upload your document to the D2L folder.After you upload your document, click on it to make sure that the document you want scored hasuploaded correctly.
