Problem
You are hired as an HR Manager for a new, small telco company of 75 employees, with three offices located in Toronto & GTA. The majority of your employees work in the Head office (30-35 people). This includes, sales, HR, accounting, Marketing and your leadership staff. The two other offices comprise of your technicians and tech services and tech support. Most of your technicians also come in to the head office and they have a shared desk in HQ.
As part of your responsibilities, you were told that the organization was audited by Ministry of Labour OHS and you have 90 days to prepare a Health & Safety plan which include a Joint Health and Safety committee or representative and implement your plan as you will have a visit from the Ministry of Labour, Occupational Health & Safety officer in 3 month. You need to complete the following:
Question A. Create a plan, explain your plan and what it entails based on the Act. (For example, policy, education, processes, procedures...)
Question B. Steps to take based on the Act in implementing your plan (This should include setting up a H&S committee or representative)
Question C. What actions to you need to take to maintain your H&S procedures by Law. (This should include education, accident investigations, inspections...)
