This report covers BHP Billiton's sustainability development framework. This purpose of the report is to outline the company's efforts towards creating long term shareholder's value and sustainability improvement focusing the corporate performances. The report includes intended sustainability framework of the company practiced for establishing regular engagement with their key stakeholders. With discussion in the areas of interest and to address, their potential concerns related to the operating activities considering its implication of the financial decision-making and GRI standard, the report has been evaluated the company's performances. Lastly, the recommended steps are incorporated for improving the future initiatives company can practice for long-term sustainability of the business in the market. The report is further intended to highlight the different type of the aspect of the report, which has been able to state on the relevant issues existing in BHP Billiton, which has been seen to have been seen in form of Identification of the current social issues. The various types of the issues have been seen in form of Air emissions and air quality, Energy use and conservation, Wastewater and water quality, Hazardous materials use, Water use and conservation of the same.The report has further identified the existing Issues in the sustainability reporting of the company. The final part of the report has been able to consider the implication of sustainability reporting in terms of financial decision-making.
