How to Design Your Research Poster and A Sample Poster
Posters are widely used in the academic community, and most conferences include poster presentations in their program. Research posters summarise information about your research concisely and attractively to help publicise it and generate discussion.
The poster is usually a mixture of a brief text and tables, graphs, pictures, (and other presentation formats). At a conference, the researcher stands by the poster display while other participants can come and view the presentation and interact with the researcher.
Recommended length: 500-800 words on the Poster (the word count does not include the references list)
This Assignment should include:
A clear and explicit statement of the research topic which contributes to academic understanding and/or practical issues
A clear and succinct literature review that identifies gaps, inconsistencies or other problems with the existing state of knowledge on the research topic, which will lead to a logical derivation of the research problem Get expert-level assignment help in any subject.
A clear and explicit statement of the significance of the proposed research, both academically and practically to the business context
Scholarly citation and referencing (APA or Chicago)
Refer to the Sample Poster to understand what a good research topic (and good research questions) look like, how to organise the literature review, how to state the contributions of your research (these will be discussed in the class).
The Sample Poster also has some problems:
It has a very large word count, you only need to provide 500-800 words on the poster (make sure your statement is clear and succinct)
It has some minor typos and referencing errors (please carefully check your referencing and proofread your work before submission)
3-minute video presentation and the electronic copy of your poster submitted via LMS
The instructions on how to produce and submit your video presentation are available on LMS.
