A new hospital building is to be constructed in Athens, Ohio. The design plans indicate that the building will be of 400 feet long by 225 feet wide. The building includes a basement and subgrade that will be, on average, 14 feet below the existing ground. The contractor plans to use two excavation crews for this project and each crew can excavate 165 cubic yards of material per hour. If the cost for each crew is $ 150 per hour, what is the total duration (in days) and total cost of the excavation activity for this building? Assume an 8-hour workday.
