Question
As a shadow nurse, I spent two days in the preop, after surgery, and post-anesthesia centers. I picked these units because they allowed me to teach patients about the operation, which increased my confidence in my poorer talent of talking with patients. At first, I followed the nurse and watched her step by step, but then I became actively involved in educating many patients about their approaching treatment.

3. Explain why you made your option. (To strengthen patient-nurse therapeutic communication skills, to master IV catheter insertion.
4. Do you want to work somewhere similar? Not neccesarily, but I think that communication, and gaining patient's trust, and accesing patients veins is the master key of nursing and is a very necessary skill in every unit of hospital.
5. Describe your observations and actions for the day, including the care you provided.
6. Discuss what you learnt from your observations and actions.
