Thinking about procedural justice and distributive justice and you have two employees, One accounting employee and one purchasing employee. One month ago, both were given an oral warning for excessive absenteeism. Assuming they got their oral warning once they first exceeded their allowable absences, and they both recently just called off work again. In this scenario one employee was given the next step progressive discipline i.e a written warning while the other employee got another oral warning.
