Question: Explain your response or solution to a case study. Your essay is to be a 600 -750 word essay (two to three pages, double-spaced, one inch margins, MLA guidelines) in which 3 ethical theories are employed. The case study essay must address on of the following scenarios:

The essay should have a brief introduction that sets up the scenario and ends with your thesis stating a clear ethical judgement on the case, ie. For the governments of South America to bulldoze the rain forests to create more farmland is morally wrong. The remainder of the essay should identify the moral issue(s) in the case, relevant facts and context, as well as, clearly state the principle(s) or value(s) being applied to the case.

Three ethical theories (set forth in our textbook) should be employed in the essay to help identify issues, values, and counter arguments, ethical theories such as Natural Law, Utilitarianism, The Categorical Imperative, The Divine Command, Social Contract , etc.. You are being asked to put the ethical theories to work for your argument and also identify how another theory might disagree with your ethical judgment and why. You are free to use one theory to support your case and two as counter-arguments, two theories in support and one as a counter-argument, or all three in support for your judgment on the case. The key is to accurately appeal to and appropriately employ the theories in communicating your stance to the case study
