"The SIM experience was incredibly valuable. It is a very supportive environment to apply my knowledge, think critically, and build practical nursing skills. I appreciated how realistic it felt interacting with a real person instead of a manikin helped me immerse myself in the role and better understand the responsibilities and pressures of real clinical situations. What worked well:

- Prebriefing calmed my nerves. Knowing the learning outcomes ahead of time made me feel more prepared and confident.

- Realistic scenario challenged my clinical judgment and encouraged me to think quickly.

- Debriefing was one of the most helpful parts. It reinforced my learning and connect the dots-from the initial report to the assessment of the patient and shift change, it helped made sense of the SIM experience and reflect on what went well and what could be improved. As for myself, I need to practice using the ISBARR.

- Teamwork helped me learn from peers and strengthened my collaboration skills. Overall, the experience improved my confidence and I look forward to more simulations in the future."
