Consider an electron moving from left to right (toward positive x) in a constant potential of V = 2.0 eV with total energy, E = 5.0 eV. Let the electron be described as a free particle such that the constant potential DOES NOT depend on the spatial coordinate, x.

a) Solve for the exact free particle wavefunction describing the electron.

b) Can you use the momentum operator to obtain for the precise momentum of the electron? If so, what is the eigenvalue?

c) On the basis of your answer from part b, what knowledge can you have of the position of the electron? Can you relate this to the shape of the potential?
