Imagine that it is 20-30 years in the future and your parents are getting older. You are increasingly anxious about how they're doing and want to ensure that they are OK. While your parents might need some assistance from time to time, they still want to maintain their independence and live in their home. Both parents have a regimen of medicines that they must take (which varied from day to day), and both have dietary considerations (to maintain low blood pressure and manage diabetes). As for all adults, it is important that they exercise daily. Given what you have learned in this unit about where technology is headed in the future and the current projects on how to apply technology to assist older adults, what solutions and technologies would you suggest using to assist your aging parents in maintaining their quality of life? Describe what technology their homes might employ to assist them and how these different technologies could keep them healthy and also provide information to you (as their loved one, who can't be with them 24/7) to give you the peace of mind that they are OK. Be sure to go beyond restating the technologies presented in this unit, as this will not earn you credit for this assignment.
