NASA's Kepler Mission is a mission that was launched to survey a portion of the Milky Way galaxy in order to discover Earth-sized planets in or near the "habitable zone" of other stars and determine how many of the billions of stars in our galaxy have such planets. You have probably heard about the discovery of some of these planets in the news over the past few years. Conduct internet research regarding one of these planets and share with the class your findings. Please include physical properties of the planet (size, mass, temperature) as well as other information if known - location in the Galaxy, which star it orbits, the likelihood of finding life on this planet, and anything else that piques your interest!
