Gather information on a specific organization you might want to work for. Information can be gathered from the library, directly from the organization, via the Internet, and by interviewing current or past employees. Perform a STEEP analysis (Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental and Political). Report your findings. Discuss the information gathered as a form of anticipatory socialization, noting the quality of information gathered from various sources, the kinds of information that can be gathered in this fashion, and the gaps that remain in knowledge about the organization (e.g., information about culture, competitive challenges, day-to-day activities, etc.).
