Explain whether or not you think the proposed solution is viable.

Standardized testing was designed to designed originally in Imperial China to which position in the government that people fall into. Now standardized testing is used to determine where children sit with their education. It is used by schools to determine how far students have come in their education and to monitor the education system in each school. Standardized tests are also used to determine how advanced students are prior to college such as SATs. Standardized testing is different from other types of assessments we have discussed so far in this course because the procedures for the assessment are the same for every student. Assessments can be modified for each child as an individual.

Measures Achievement for College Readiness: Standardized testing such as SATs allow students to show what they have learned and allow students to show their knowledge when sometimes their high schools do not offer higher level courses. Consistent Assessment: Standardized tests allow students to be graded fairly. Not all educators grade the same way and standardized tests allow students to have the same advantages as far as grading goes. Teacher Evaluation: Standardized testing allows schools to monitor the success of each teacher through education advancement of the students in the class room.

A possible solution to the standardized achievement testing debate would be to have fewer and shorter standardized tests. This would allow the education system to be able to monitors students and teachers but not put so much emphasis on the testing. I feel as if children should be assessed in a variety of ways and not just with standardized testing. In early childhood education I feel as if children who be assessed through learning activities. I feel as if this method could carry on through the years of education students have. Some people display their abilities better through interaction.
