Intervention Phase 2: Intervention is now implemented 1:1 for an additional 30 minutes a week in addition to a small group, which is 4 students, where 30 minutes will be on the computer using Math 180. This intervention was implemented from 02/01/21-03/15/21. Throughout intervention phase 2, Albert was learning at a rate of 0.50. A possible learning disability would have there be a slope of 0.67. This indicates that Albert did not respond to the intervention, due to the slope being in line with the rate of progress of a learning-disabled student. Assessing both the level and trend of progress is required to identify a Specific Learning Disability in Math. The student's rate of improvement with research-based interventions through each phase was under 50% in comparison to a typical peer their age. Albert's performance level at the end of the intervention was below the 10th percentile in comparison to students in the same grade. This performance is consistent with criteria for a Specific Learning Disability.
