Since many of us feel dissatisfied in some way or the other about our elections, I'd like you to find and discuss one idea for making a change that you believe would make elections better. Better generally means making elections more fair to all people, and/or getting more perspectives or voices into the process. Ideas might be about election rules such as how we vote, how votes are counted, how votes are grouped (districts, electoral college), how the parties operate, or how much power the law gives to citizen-led initiatives and referenda. There are many ideas in the text, and I'm sure a plethora of them to find through research. Keep your topic/idea limited to one specific idea, as otherwise you'd need to write way too much to explain.
Write 350 words minimum about the idea you have. Essentially explain or outline the idea, and then explain why you think it would be a positive change or strengthen democracy. Also, provide 2 sources of information from which you drew ideas and/or that other students could use to find out more about the idea.
You will be graded on the quality of your explanation, that it is clear and well thought out, and that your citations can be used to find out more details.
