Folks, in working with employees who are struggling this environment, the decision about whether or not this would hurt fellow employees versus actually doing harm to the company is very important to discuss! There are most definitely a multitude of different loyalties that are involved in this process, primarily the struggle between loyalty to a coworker who may be our friend, and loyalty to our employer, who is our source of income!

To the extent that we are expected to be transparent about productivity, it may be very difficult to hide and employees lack of productivity!!! Clearly, we have a situation in which loyalties become more complicated. The question that I see is this: how do we maintain loyalty to a fellow employee by not necessarily giving up this person's name, and preserving their confidentiality, but still, being devoted to the overall mission of the company?

Also, what about the severity of the employee's transgressions? For example, how severe must an employee's misbehavior be before we start feeling that it is necessary to report him or her?

Super, wonderful job, everyone!!!
