Dr. Drew works at a group home for children and adults with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Over the past few months they have been struggling with an outbreak of a contagious virus in their adult population (it doesn't seem to impact children).?Dr. Drew, who is not a trained researcher, wants to help his patients so he decides to start developing a vaccine for the virus based on what he has seen other researchers do in the past. In order to expedite the study, he starts testing the vaccine directly on residents, both young and old, without any previous tests on animals. He also decides not to discuss the study with the residents' parents or guardians, as he does not want to slow down the process.
