Question

You and your team (ADEQ) are called out to LookOutBelow!, AZ. You are called to a very unique area in that there is an incline of 30% of grassland. At the bottom of this hill, there is a stream with Sandy soil. The grassland hill has not been disturbed and there is an abundant of grasses growing on the hill, no trees or shrubs. The people of LookOutBelow! are very proud of this hill and like to see the wildflowers that it growing.

The problem is that this particular hill is located on the final approach of a major airport. 10 days ago, a turboprop declared an emergency landing and, while on final approach, was instructed to dump all his fuel out of his plane. Thus 2000 liters of JetFuel was dumped on this sloped grassland. NOTE: Have you ever noticed that when they sell diesel fuel at a service station, it is called '#2 Diesel'? The reason this is like this is because JetFuel is called "#1 Diesel". Thus JetFuel is highly refined Diesel fuel, it is very much like Kerosene. I am telling you this to give you some clues of the properties of this fuel.

Determine where the JetFuel is OR if you think it is in the stream, then where is it after 10 days.

After determining where this Fuel is, devise 2 completely separate methods of cleaning this spill up. Give the pros and cons for each method for cleaning it up. Tell which one is the cheapest and how long EACH method is going to take.
