These shifts in perception highlight the nature of human-animal relationships and the need to consider both individual and societal perspectives when evaluating the role of pigeons in today's world. Personally, I often see pigeons in urban environments. Their food-scavenging and perching on buildings reveal their adaptation to human-dominated surroundings. Because of their droppings and disease transmission, pigeons may be nuisances, but I have learned to handle disagreements with them humanely.
