QUESTION 1. A critical understanding of the role of Leadership and Management Development.

Choose an organisation not like Hilton hotel. Choose a specific hospitality busines for example independent hotel in United Kingdom. Give an overview of the Hotel, like how many staff, how many beds, customer focus, annual turnover.
Follow learning outcomes, develop literature to show leadership roles, what are the roles leaders play, what sort of roles for example leadership roles in Hilton and the management development, this is an holistic view of leadership roles and management development in the hospitality industry. Research on the importance of management development, and why it is important to develop managers. What sort of roles leaders play in the chosen hotel.

Question 2. A critical understanding of leadership and management approaches when managing an industrial workforce in hospitality sector.
Definition of leadership, Role of leadership, What are the different styles of leadership, the impact of leadership styles which are the advantages and disadvantages of leadership styles.
Research on management styles and link it to the chosen hotel, research on management motivational styles, management approaches, for example Maslow hierarchy, motivational theories linked to the chosen hotel.

Question 3. The ability to discuss equality and diversity issues which can occur across Hospitality industries.
Research equality and diversity issues, an ability to discuss challenges regarding equal pay, discrimination, equality and diversity, challenges of managing workforce payments like poor wages. No equal pay. A topic should be chosen from the list of equality and diversity on the assignment brief: In this case chose "women managers and the challenges that face them". Research on the leadership styles, the organizational culture (make sure all 4 learning outcomes are met). And choose another topic like the challenges and impacts of Covid 19. All this linked to the chosen hotel, information from the actual chosen hotel, you can find reviews on the hotel.

Question 4. The ability to critically analyse challenges experienced in the hospitality industrial workforce.
Research on what challenges the leaders are facing in the chosen hotel, do a SWOT ANALYSIS, Also the challenges the hotels is facing like high turnover, long hours of shift, empowerment, not valueing workforce, unequal pay, and also include the critical review of the consequence of for example Covid 19, what the impact is, what you think management or leaders need to do to improve will be the recommendation and conclusion.
