As a participant in the horse industry, it is imperative to know something about different breeds of horses. Unlike our food and fiber livestock, the uses and reasons people own, produce, market horses is very variable. One thing that will "turn off" horse industry professionals to your credibility is trying to talk shop with other owners, breeders, trainers and not have a good idea of what various horses, and specifically theirs, does or is used for.
