Because respiratory or cardiac issues can be life-threatening, it is important for an emergency medical responder to be able to narrow down the patient's symptoms quickly. Different issues present with different symptoms, and having this knowledge beforehand helps the responder to discern the general impression quickly. In this activity, you will create several tables that include the signs and symptoms of different respiratory and cardiac emergencies. You may organize them however you like, but you must create a visual showing an emergency responder what signs they would look for to determine their working theory of what is causing the patient's complaint. Create tables for the following emergencies or conditions: Angina pectoris Myocardial infarction Cardiac arrest Pneumonia Pulmonary embolism Respiratory arrest List at least three symptoms for each condition. Use the highlighting tool in your word-processing program to indicate symptoms that require immediate intervention. Upload your completed tables to Dropbox.
