- Using the South University Online Library or the Internet, research the emergency services. Based on your research and understanding, respond to the following:

- Discuss the increasing numbers of under insured and uninsured US citizens and the impact they present to the nation's emergency rooms.

- Include statistics that are no more than twenty-four months old, review the number of Emergency Rooms (ERs) that have closed, the number of ERs that are in financial trouble, and discuss in detail what the term ERs are the new Primary Care Doctor actually means.

- Introduce relevant federal and state regulations impacting the ERs that treat patients.

- Give your projection on the future of the nation's ERs supported with reference. References must include the federal register, and peer reviewed journals.
