Assignment:

You are the technology coach at your school, and the principal has asked you to organize tools and media resources that teachers can use to facilitate project-based learning in both the synchronous and asynchronous learning environments.

Research 10 project-based learning educational technology tools and media that could be utilized across both learning environments as well as tools that are best suited to either synchronous or asynchronous learning. Also consider technology not intentionally made for classroom education but that could be used for student project delivery and inspire personal uniqueness and creativity while presenting deep academic value for students.

Using a digital resource organizational tool of your choice (bookmarking, notetaking, diagrams, etc.), organize the tools/media by learning environment: synchronous, asynchronous, and both environments. Align at least three tools with each learning environment and at least three tools that could be used in both environments. For each tool/media, provide the following information as part of the deliverable.

• Link to each tool/media and a description of the tool/media.
• Explain how the tool/media supports project-based learning for students, including discussion about how it allows for differentiation, encourages student engagement and participation, and could inspire personal uniqueness and creativity in students.
• Justify the categorization of each tool/media as best for synchronous, asynchronous, or both learning environments.
• Describe a project-based unit to which each tool/media could be applied.
• Identify ways that each tool/media can help meet specific ISTE Standards for Students.
