Assignment:

1. I did some research about Rocks and Minerals, in the Science Education Research Unit to find out more about the topic so that children can describe and identify rock samples, their origin, and composition as well.

2. The materials I brought to the classroom were rocks, paint, scales, and counters.

3. I prepared the environment for the investigation of the topic by doing some research first on the internet and then finding out what things needed to be observed once we arrived at the place of investigation.

4. We plan to go and work around the school campus looking for different rocks. So, we are expecting to collect different kinds of rocks and that is what we need to further our study on the topic.

5. I did bring a colleague who is an expert in the field of science specifically on the study of the different kinds of rocks and their composition. As an outcome, she was able to discuss a lot of information about the rocks and the different sizes of the rocks as well as their composition.
