Question

Case Scenario:

Mary has come into your doctor's surgery this morning for her regular blood test (INR). Mary requires this blood test to be done this morning due to needing her warfarin dose adjusted by her GP as soon as possible. When she comes into the centre you notice she is showing flu like symptoms (sneezing, coughing etc.). She is currently not running a fever. Discuss within your group what you would need to do for Mary to assist her, keeping in mind her requirement to have the test done and your duty of care to other patients, colleagues and visitors.

How would you handle this situation and what do you think you would need to consider to both assist Mary with her test and also protect other patients and colleagues within your workplace?
