Covid-19 produced drastic changes in the labour market, resulting in job loss, unprecedented unemployment rates, and increases in food and gas costs.

The Question

Read the text box "Critical Thinking in Action": Covid-19 and the labour market" (Symbaluk & Bereksa, 2022, p. 97) and respond to the following question: Given what you've learned in this module and in this chapter, in what ways might certain social groups have been disproportionately affected by unemployment stemming from Covid-19?
