Question - The assignment for FORENSIC ACCOUNTING IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR.

Despite the increasing risk and complexity of fraud in the current environment of both public and private sectors, many public and private organizations have not reviewed the adequacy and effectiveness of their fraud prevention mechanism. This selected article provides an indicator on the effectiveness of fraud prevention strategies in public sector based on the framework of fraud triangle concept.

Required -

a. Describe three (3) common types of fraud and misconduct risks in Malaysian Public Sector.

b. Explain the fraud triangle concept used for the framework of this study.

c. Discuss the research design and results which showed that the fraud prevention mechanisms adopted in the four types of fraud training and education activities are perceived to be effective mechanisms in minimizing fraud risk in the public sector.
