At this time in your life, you so rarely get to focus on yourself. This assignment is to help you think about yourself while putting the Pender process into action. Think about something that you know that you need to change (exercise, diet, stress, relationship neglect, etc.). If you aren't sure or if you just need a little extra help, there are assessment charts available on the Pender website, referenced in this weeks' readings, that may help you with the assessment portion. Using Pender's theory and what you know about motivating change behavior, cover each step including an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses. Reference the rubric to be sure that you are hitting the high points. Be sure to include outside resources and cite them. Write up your change project in outline or chart format with a good explanation of each step. This is intended to be a therapeutic way to learn about the Pender process but make sure that you truly learn about the process and gather new information while doing so.
