Q1) Gas tanks of SAAB 9-3 vehicles are designed to have capacity of 15 gallons. Though, as of manufacturing, there is variability from gas tank to gas tank. Capacities for SAAB gas tanks vary according to normal distribution with mean of 15 gallons and a standard deviation of 0.10 gallons. Letting X represents capacity of randomly selected gas tank made by SAAB, reply the following:
a) Determine the probability that gas tank's capacity is above 15.25 gallons?
b) Determine the probability that tank's capacity falls somewhere between 14.9 gallons and 15.1 gallons?
c) Determine the probability that tank's capacity is below 15 gallons?
d) How large would tank's capacity require to be for it to qualify as one of the 15% largest of all gas tanks made for these vehicles?
e) 95% of all of SAAB's gas tanks have capacities between .............and............... gallons.
