Scenario:

Ms. Z is a 32-year-old accountant who was admitted three (3) days ago after suffering a stab wound during an attempted robbery. She was intubated at the scene and spinal precautions were implemented. Upon arrival to the ED, she was able to open her eyes and follow spinal commands, such as holding up two fingers upon request. However, she had no voluntary movement of the legs or feet. CT evaluation demonstrated complete cord transection at the T3-T4 level with spinal cord edema and Solumedrol was given. She was admitted to the neuro ICU for further care.

Question

The family asks how much function she will have. Using your own words Correlate her level of injury to what her functional status will be after the acute phase.
