Question - Cardinal TV sells television sets, and with the sale of the television set provides cable service, allowing customers to view 86 channels. Cardinal offers a bundle with the following terms. A television set sold with 2 years of cable service, and a 2-year television repair service plan. The price of this bundle (television set, cable service, repair services) is $2,280. The standalone selling price of the television set is $650 (its cost is $300) and the cable service alone (without the television set) would have a price of $1,920, and the standalone price of the service repair agreement is $480. On January 3, 2021 Cardinal TV sold 50 television sets along with the cable service and repair service, receiving a total of $114,000, cash.

Required -

a) Prepare journal entries to record the revenue arrangement above on January 3, 2021 and December 31, 2021. For credit clearly show computations.

b) Prepare the journal entries on January 3, 2021, only, using the information above, but assuming Cardinal TV has no reliable data with which to estimate the standalone selling price for the cable service. For credit clearly show computations.
