Benjamin is a new male resident diagnosis of badcular dementia (moderate stage). He is an active member of Jehovah Witness church

Also in the dementia unit is a resident by the name of Gregory. Gregory's life partner, whose name is James, comes to visit him everyday, and they like to show each other affection by hugging and setting next to each other in the communal sitting area with their arms around each other. Benjamin finds this very disturbing due to his beliefs, and it triggers aggressive behaviour, resulting in Gregory and James being the recipients of verbal abuse about their sexuality.
