4. Provide a description of the scenario. Include supplies, timing, skill evaluation checklist. Include a script of sample dialogue that the patient might say given their disease process and situation. Describe what you expect students should do during the simulation.
Things to include:
1. Determine your resources: number of manikins or standardized patients needed, number of simulation rooms needed, number of faculty to assist in the simulation needed, the number of student groups (how many in each group), and timing for rotation of the groups.
2. Determine the amount of time needed for the scenario and debriefing.
3. Discuss how the simulation will promote clinical reasoning skills.
4. Describe how you would guide a debrief session.
