Patient presents for evaluation after a fall down a flight of steps. The patient admits to a history of alcohol dependence. He states that he quit drinking several months ago but he does appear intoxicated today. Patient is a poor historian and unable to provide a detailed past medical history secondary to his intoxication. He states that he tripped. The patient was found at the bottom of the steps by his wife. He denies loss of consciousness but is unable to provide further detail, such as how long he was on the floor. Currently has no complaints, denies extremity pain. Has been ambulatory.
