Her vital signs are as follows: BP 110/68, Pulse 110, resp 32, T 98.2, O2 sat 88% on 2 liters of oxygen. She is dyspneic at rest. She has JVD, crackles and wheezes throughout her lungs, hepatosplenomegaly, and +3 edema from her feet to her knees. What is the pathophysiology underlying her symptoms?
