Lucy, a 68-year-old-woman, suddenly had difficulty talking after dinner. The next day, she participated in a speech and language evaluation. The evaluation demonstrated normal strength of her tongue and lips. When asked to count from 1 to 10, sing Happy Birthday and imitate simple sounds or syllables, she produced awkward, groping off-target jaw and lip movements. She could imitate several vowels with distortion and /m/ but only in isolation. She achieved correct articulatory placement for /f/ but could not simultaneously blow air out between her lips to produce frication. Language and cognitive skills were all normal. Results of a CT scan revealed that Lucy had a stroke. Where is the location of Lucy's stroke.
