You are the primary nurse for a 3 day old male going home with first time parents - aged 20 and 21. The child was a normal vaginal birth. 7 lbs. 5 oz. The mother is breast feeding, with "some" success. Supplementing with formula as needed. Has not seen the lactation consultant (she is on vacation and does not have a replacement). The parents are high school graduates working minimum wage jobs to support the household. Each parent is an only child. Neither has ever babysat during their teen years.
