You are a corporate safety director who has been asked to provide a training session to 23 Otto's Oil & Lube franchise owners and managers on how the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) operates and what to expect from an OSHA inspection. Eight of the managers work in state-plan OSHA states. Put together a PowerPoint presentation that describes the responsibilities of safety and health regulatory agencies and discusses the OSHA enforcement process, citations and penalties, and different ways owners might deal with citations if any are received from an OSHA inspection. Also, include a slide on OSHA state-plan states, the role of these state agencies, and how they differ from the federal OSHA.
