The interventions are normally functionally specific exercise programs, adjusted tasks or physical activity that is geared around the activities of daily living they want to regain strength and ability to do independently. Re-ablement is less about clinical goals and more about meaningful goals for the client that will help them engage in their recovery. Through re-ablement interventions the hope is that individuals will regain their independence and maintain their social and community connections. If a clinical goal for your client was to regain full range of movement with minimal scar tissue to a knee after knee reconstruction and your client's main goal was to be able to dance without crutches at their daughter's wedding for at least one song which goal should you focus on to best engage the client in their own care.
