Imagine you and your best friend work at the same company. After several years working together in the same position, you decide to apply for a higher position, and you get it! Your friend is thrilled, however, a few months down the road you are in a difficult position.

Part of your new job includes re-negotiating contracts with the employees under you, and your best friend is one of them.

Your boss is not sure that you are the person for the job and asks you to compose an essay that will show him that you understand the task at hand, including strategies, aspects to have in mind during the negotiation, and possible outcomes and follow up to them.
