Question

Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, primarily affecting the lungs. TB was a very common disease in the early part of the 1900's. Cases have steadily declined (see the graph below) with the improvement of living standards (Anderson, Salm, Allen, 2022). What was a main factor that contributed to the global control of the spread of tuberculosis? Explain how this factor prevented TB infections and limited global spread.
