Question
In a perfect world, every project would be characterized by clear project requirements that never change; motivated and capable team members; proven technologies; more than adequate budgets in terms of time, money, and resources; responsible, knowledgeable stakeholders; and seamless, effective communication so when a problem arises it is communicated and dealt with quickly. However, we do not live in a perfect world.
Consider how risks like budget creep, lack of requirement definition, communication issues, problematic scheduling, marketplace changes, customer request changes, and lack of project support from stakeholders can affect the project. You may also want to research additional risks.
Respond to the following:
From your perspective, what are the 3 biggest, common risks for a project?
How might they undermine a project?
What are project management techniques to mitigate those risks?
What can you do about risks that are not common but could also undermine a project if it happens?
